Geely launches Brazil production of EX2 electric hatch and maintains low prices for EX5 EM-i SUV

Renault‑Geely Brazil confirmed that the fully electric EX2 hatch will begin local production by the end of the year at the Ayrton Senna complex in Paraná, alongside the hybrid EX5 EM‑i SUV. The EX2 offers 116 hp, 289 km range, 0‑100 km/h in 10.2 seconds and fast‑charging capability (30‑80 % in 21 minutes on a 70 kW DC charger).

The EX5 EM‑i, launched in April, is being sold in three trims – Pro, Ultra and Max – with prices starting at R$ 189,990. Geely announced it will keep these prices at the current low level through at least June, making the model cheaper than the Volkswagen T‑Cross Highline. The vehicle combines a 1.5 L gasoline engine with an electric motor for a total output of 262 hp and a combined electric‑only range of up to 65 km, depending on version.
