Geely launches E2 electric compact car in Hungary

Geely has launched the E2, an all-electric compact city car, in the Hungarian market. The model, which has seen significant success in China with over 800,000 units sold, is now being positioned for European consumers with a chassis tuned for local road conditions.

During the introductory period, the entry-level Pro trim is available starting from 7,499,000 HUF, down from its official list price of 7,999,000 HUF. The vehicle is offered in four trim levels: Pro, Max, Max+, and Ultra.

Technical specifications include two battery options: a 35 kWh unit with a 252 km WLTP range and a 47 kWh unit with a 345 km WLTP range. Charging capabilities reach up to 80 kW DC for the larger battery. The car features 24 active driver assistance functions and 36 safety features, backed by an 8-year or 200,000 km manufacturer warranty. The first units are expected to arrive at dealerships in September.
