Geely wins GCOTY Value Award and updates EX5 electric crossover

Geely has received the GCOTY Value Award at the German Car of the Year 2027 awards. The Geely E2, a fully electric urban model, was recognized by a jury of 47 international automotive journalists for offering the best price-to-value ratio among 109 new vehicle entries.

The E2 features a compact exterior with a spacious interior, utilizing the Global Intelligent Electric Architecture. The European version provides a WLTP range of up to 345 kilometers and supports DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in approximately 25 minutes.

Additionally, Geely has introduced an updated version of its Galaxy E5 electric crossover, marketed as the Geely EX5 in various export markets. This refreshed model transitions to an 800-volt architecture and features a rear-wheel-drive system. The new motor produces 333 horsepower, an increase from the previous 218 horsepower. Depending on the battery capacity (61.52 kWh or 70.01 kWh), the vehicle offers a CLTC range of 550 to 635 kilometers.
