GEKİS cattle tracking system training begins in Kars
The first technical training for Turkey's Secure Electronic Ear Tag and Tracking System (GEKİS) has commenced in Kars. The training is being provided to personnel from the Kars Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry to prepare them for field implementation.
Developed by ASEL SAN using domestic resources, the GEKİS project is a coordinated effort between the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Presidency of Defense Industries. The system is designed to digitally identify cattle and monitor their entire life cycle through an electronic system. This initiative aims to enhance data management, tracking, and record-keeping within the livestock sector.
