GEKRAFS expands creative economy initiatives in Banyumas and Yogyakarta

The National Creative Economy Movement (GEKRAFS) is expanding its presence and impact across Indonesia. In Banyumas, Muh Erlangga Adinugraha (Erik) has been officially inaugurated as the head of the local branch. He aims to build a creative ecosystem by leveraging diverse sectors including culinary, music, automotive, and digital industries to create economic value.

In Yogyakarta, the regional GEKRAFS leadership, headed by Sarah Azzahra, is focusing on utilizing year-round events to drive economic turnover. Major celebrations, such as the 270th anniversary of Yogyakarta City, are expected to provide significant markets for MSMEs, artists, and creative entrepreneurs by increasing tourist mobility and consumer spending in areas like Malioboro.
