Gela school damaged by arson attack

An arson attack has damaged the Capuana school complex, part of the San Francesco Comprehensive Institute in Gela, Italy. The fire occurred on the eve of the new school year, causing damage to several rooms and creating significant logistical difficulties for the start of classes.

In response to the incident, the CPIA Caltanissetta-Enna, led by school director Giovanni Bevilacqua, has expressed solidarity with the affected students, families, teachers, and staff. Bevilacqua stated that attacking a school is an assault on a place of growth, education, and the future, emphasizing that the event impacts the entire educational community.
