General Directorate of Foundations announces scholarship applications

The General Directorate of Foundations (VGM) has announced that applications for higher education scholarships will be open from October 22 at 10:00 to October 31 at 23:59. Applications must be submitted through the institution's official website.

Successful applicants will receive a monthly payment of 4,000 Turkish Lira for a duration of eight months, covering the period from October 2026 to May 2027. The selection process will be conducted based on the Higher Education Scholarship Student Application Evaluation Schedule following accuracy checks.

Certain groups are ineligible for this scholarship, including students earning at least the minimum wage through continuous employment, students at Police Academies or military schools, graduate (master's and doctoral) students, and those exceeding their normal period of study. Additionally, students receiving other non-refundable educational aid from public institutions or those who previously lost their scholarship due to academic failure are excluded.

Authorities have warned students to rely solely on the official website to avoid fraudulent social media accounts and fake pages designed to collect personal data.
