Chevrolet to rebadge Wuling Bingo Pro as entry‑level EV for emerging markets

General Motors is evaluating a licence deal with its SAIC‑GM‑Wuling joint venture to rebadge the all‑electric Wuling Bingo Pro as a Chevrolet model for emerging markets. The rebadged vehicle would become Chevrolet’s first hatch‑back EV in regions such as Mexico, Brazil and other high‑density urban areas across Latin America, Africa and Asia. The Bingo Pro, launched in China in May, starts at 56,800 yuan (about $8,390) and offers 330‑km to 403‑km CLTC ranges with a 65 kW motor and an LFP battery. It sold 21,085 units in June, according to the China Passenger Car Association. GM would likely introduce minor exterior changes and a new model name, following earlier rebadges like the Chevrolet Spark EUV and Captiva EV. A Vietnamese gallery article also noted that, if approved, the Bingo Pro could be sold under the Chevrolet badge in Vietnam, extending the plan beyond Latin America. The move reflects growing demand for low‑cost zero‑emission cars in high‑volume markets.
