Reggio Calabria hosts security summit and Carabinieri leadership changes

Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi visited Reggio Calabria to sign an inter-institutional agreement between the Prefecture and the Municipality. The agreement aims to implement new urban security initiatives and strengthen cooperation between local government and state agencies to address the community's safety needs.

In a related series of institutional movements in the Calabria region, Division General Riccardo Sciuto, Commander of the Carabinieri Legion “Calabria,” concluded his tenure with a farewell visit to the Reggio Calabria Provincial Command. During his visit, Sciuto met with military personnel and local officials, including Prefect Clara Vaccaro, to highlight the professionalism of the force and the importance of territorial stations in maintaining public order. He is set to transfer to a new role in Rome.
