General Rodríguez councilman accused of drug trafficking links

Javier Tarragona, a councilman for the Fuerza Patria party in General Rodríguez, has been denounced for alleged links to a drug trafficking organization. The complaint was filed by Nicolás Rappazzo Demarchi, the municipal Secretary of Security, Justice, and Criminal Policy, who belongs to the same political party as Tarragona and Mayor Mauro García.

The investigation, handled by Prosecutor Ezequiel Freydier at UFI No. 12, originated from an anonymous tip provided by a resident who feared retaliation. The allegations suggest that Tarragona is part of an illicit association involved in the sale of narcotics and may be linked to a cocaine production site.

Furthermore, the complaint alleges that Tarragona attempted to obtain advance information regarding upcoming anti-narcotics raids to warn criminal associates. The accusations also include potential illicit enrichment. The alleged criminal activities are said to operate out of the Terravista gated community. As of now, these allegations have not been judicially proven.
