Generali expands healthcare network to 15,000 facilities

Massimo Monacelli, general manager of Generali Italia, announced the company’s strategic focus on health and welfare during the Longevity Day event. Generali has established a dedicated business unit to provide services that go beyond traditional insurance, including assistance, added-value services, and prevention.

Monacelli highlighted the creation of a healthcare network comprising 15,000 facilities designed to make medical care more accessible and affordable, acting as a complement to the national health system.

Addressing the challenges of an aging population, Monacelli noted that while life expectancy is increasing, supplementary pension coverage in Italy remains low, with only 10 to 11 million citizens currently covered. He emphasized the need for integrated coverage to ensure long-term social stability.
