Generalitat begins CV-50 roundabout construction in Real

The Generalitat has initiated preliminary works to construct a new roundabout on the CV-50 highway in Real, at the intersection with Mariano Benlliure and Riu Magre streets. The project aims to improve traffic flow and road safety at a junction that has been prone to various accidents.

The intersection is located at kilometer 48+500, west of the urban center, serving as the exit toward Montroi near the Magro River structure. Currently, the area features three branches with left turns on a single-lane road, a configuration that complicates movement for both drivers and pedestrians. The new design will include a 12-meter exterior radius and a 4-meter central island, with specific lane widths to accommodate both light vehicles and large dimensions.

The project has an estimated budget of 350,000 euros and an expected execution period of three months. The works are being managed by the Directorate General of Land Infrastructures under the Department of Environment, Infrastructure, Territory, and Recovery.
