Genesis announces 2027 updates for GV80 Hybrid and G90
Genesis is preparing updates for its luxury lineup for the 2027 model year, including the introduction of the GV80 Hybrid and a mid-cycle refresh for the G90 sedan.
The GV80 Hybrid will feature a 347-hp powertrain consisting of a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors. This hybrid variant will utilize a seven-speed automatic transmission and will be available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. To distinguish the hybrid from the standard model, Genesis is implementing unique grille and wheel designs. The vehicle is expected to carry over the three-row seating and luxury interior features of the current GV80.
The G90 flagship sedan is also slated for a redesign. Recent sightings of camouflaged prototypes suggest an updated exterior and cockpit, with design elements inspired by the new GV90 flagship SUV. The refreshed G90 will continue to compete in the full-size luxury sedan segment against models such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series.
