Genesis GV90 Luxury Electric SUV Set for Launch Amid Brand Expansion

Hyundai’s premium brand Genesis will unveil its flagship electric SUV, the GV90, in the coming weeks. The large luxury model targets the high‑end SUV segment above the Range Rover, featuring distinctive gull‑wing doors, a six‑seat 2‑2‑2 layout, a battery of up to 110 kWh delivering more than 560 km of range, dual‑motor output exceeding 500 ps, all‑wheel drive and 350 kW fast‑charging capability. Peter Kronschnabl, Genesis Europe managing director, said, “GV90 is the model that shows what can be done in the world of ultimate luxury.”

Alongside the flagship, Genesis is evaluating an entry‑level pure‑electric model positioned below the GV60. Kronschnabl noted, “We are still evaluating the plan, there is no confirmation yet,” as the brand explores new market niches such as a potential luxury pickup. The GV90 will compete with other large EV SUVs like Kia’s EV9 and Hyundai’s Ioniq 9 while reinforcing Genesis’s premium image.
