Genesis, Lexus, and Mazda announce major vehicle updates

Several major automotive manufacturers are announcing significant updates to their vehicle lineups. Genesis has transitioned its X Gran Berlinetta concept from the virtual world of Gran Turismo 7 to real-world tracks. The high-performance hybrid concept, featuring 1,086 CV, recently made its moving debut at the Mount Panorama circuit in Bathurst with Jacky Ickx at the wheel.

Lexus is preparing a global launch for a restyled NX SUV on September 1. The update is expected to include aesthetic changes to the exterior, such as new LED lighting and a revised front grille, alongside interior improvements like a modernized steering wheel and updated infotainment interfaces.

Mazda CEO Masahiro Moro has announced an unprecedented overhaul of the brand’s SUV range, including the CX-60, CX-70, CX-80, and CX-90. Following sales that fell below expectations for fiscal year 2025, the company plans to implement substantial changes to exterior design, interior layouts, and powertrains, potentially incorporating new Skyactiv-Z technology.
