Genesis showcases hydrogen fuel‑cell truck and exoskeletons at Le Mans

Genesis Magma Racing used a mass‑produced hydrogen fuel‑cell truck, the XCIENT, to transport spare parts and engineering equipment at the 24‑hour Le Mans race, marking the first real‑world test of zero‑emission heavy logistics in endurance motorsport.

The team also deployed the X‑ble Shoulder, a wearable industrial robot from Hyundai/Kia, which cut shoulder joint load by 60% and reduced deltoid fatigue by about 30% for pit‑crew members handling 13‑kilogram tyres. In addition, Genesis unveiled the Box Buggy concept featuring an e‑Corner steering‑by‑wire system that allows each wheel to turn up to 90°, enabling 360° movement in cramped paddock areas. The vehicle, powered by a 160‑horsepower drive, demonstrates how advanced robotics and clean‑energy solutions can be tested under extreme racing conditions before scaling to broader automotive and urban mobility applications.
