Genoa nears El Shaarawy return amid Norton-Cuffy transfer to Hull City

Genoa CFC is finalizing a high-profile return for Stephan El Shaarawy. The 33-year-old forward, a free agent following his departure from AS Roma, is expected to sign a one-year contract with an option for a second season. This move marks a homecoming for the player, who began his professional career with the club.

In related transfer activity, Genoa is restructuring its defense. Brooke Norton-Cuffy is departing the Italian club to join Hull City in an operation valued at approximately 14 million euros. To fill the vacancy, Genoa has secured the signing of English right-back Cody Drameh from Hull City for roughly 4.5 million euros.

Hull City, owned by Acun Ilıcalı, has been highly active in the transfer market, completing 19 signings this summer. In addition to the acquisition of Norton-Cuffy, the club has finalized deals for several other players, including Tim Iroegbunam, Robinio Vaz, Sorba Thomas, and Christos Mouzakitis.
