Genoa offers low-cost market stalls to revitalize local commerce

The Municipality of Genoa has launched a call for applications to revitalize local neighborhood markets in Terralba, Scio, Dinegro, and Treponti. The initiative aims to fill 37 vacant stalls by offering low-cost concessions lasting until the end of 2032.

Monthly rents are scaled based on surface area, starting at approximately 40 euros for small stalls of about five square meters and reaching up to 330 euros for larger spaces of roughly 22 square meters. The spaces are intended for food, gastronomy, artisanal, commercial, and service-related activities, including local zero-kilometer products.

The tender is open to existing merchants, new entrepreneurs, or those looking to transition online businesses into physical locations. Applications must be submitted by October 3, 2024.
