Genta Matsuda to star in new drama ‘Hadakanboutachi’

The promotional poster visual for the upcoming TV Asahi drama ‘Hadakanboutachi’ has been released. Starring Genta Matsuda of the group Travis Japan, the series is scheduled to premiere on October 3.

Based on the novel by Naoki Prize-winning author Kaori Ekuni, the drama depicts a complex and dangerous adult love triangle. The story follows Ryo Sabasaki (played by Matsuda), a shoemaker who pursues women regardless of their relationship status. The plot centers on his involvement with dentist Momo Tsutsui (Rosa Kato) and her friend Kyoko Hotta (Akane Osawa), while also involving Momo’s fiancé, Taku Ishiba (Yuya Takaki).

The newly released visual features the four main characters in a composition intended to reflect the themes of vulnerability and raw emotion, described as being “naked in both body and soul.” The series will feature the song ‘EGO’ by Travis Japan as its theme music.
