Genta Matsuda to star in upcoming drama ‘Hadakanboutachi’

Promotional images and details have been released for the upcoming TV Asahi drama ‘Hadakanboutachi’, scheduled to premiere on October 3. The series is a live-action adaptation of the romance novel by Naoki Prize-winning author Kaori Ekuni.

Starring Genta Matsuda of Travis Japan, the story follows Ryo Sabazaki, a man who pursues women regardless of their relationship status. The plot explores a complex love triangle involving a dentist, Momo (played by Rosa Kato), and her friend, Kyoko (played by Akane Osawa). The drama also features Yuya Takaki as Taku Ishiba, a man whose commitment to Momo stands in stark contrast to Sabazaki’s transient lifestyle.

Recent social media updates have highlighted Matsuda’s physical preparation for the role. To portray the character’s specific silhouette, Matsuda reportedly underwent strict training to develop a lean, muscular physique. The released imagery includes scenes depicting the characters' emotional isolation and the shifting dynamics of their relationships.
