GeoPark invests $76.4 million to accelerate Vaca Muerta development in Argentina
GeoPark allocated 64% of its second‑quarter 2026 capital spending to the Vaca Muerta shale play, committing US$76.4 million between April and June. The funds target drilling, well completion, infrastructure works and production projects in Argentina, with the remainder of the quarter’s investment directed to operations in Colombia.
During the period five wells entered the hydraulic‑fracturing stage and infrastructure upgrades progressed to increase production‑evacuation capacity. Production across Argentina and Colombia remained stable at about 27,271 barrels of oil equivalent per day. The company reported revenue of US$143.3 million, a 12% rise from the prior quarter, adjusted EBITDA of US$73.1 million (51% margin) and operating cash flow of US$108.4 million, leaving cash balances at US$316.3 million. Brent averaged US$96.9 per barrel, supporting higher realized prices. CEO Felipe Bayón highlighted the disciplined financial position and on‑schedule execution of the growth program.
