George Dib, known as ‘Dr. Food’, faces theft and assault investigation

Lebanese content creator George Dib, widely known as ‘Dr. Food’, is facing judicial proceedings in Mount Lebanon following a series of legal developments. An investigating judge, Joelle Issa El Khoury, has issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with allegations of theft and assault.

The case stems from a complaint filed by Dib’s former wife, who accused him of physical abuse and the theft of jewelry, cash totaling $100,000, bank cards, and multiple passports from Lebanon, Canada, and Jordan. Dib was apprehended in the town of Rahbe, Akkar, following a judicial operation led by the Jounieh judicial unit.

While Dib has denied the allegations in initial statements, claiming he left his home without taking any of the disputed items, he faces multiple legal challenges. In addition to the current theft and assault investigation, reports indicate he was previously detained in connection with a separate case involving a life sentence handed down in absentia.
