Overview

Lebanese content creator George Deeb, also known as ‘Doctor Food’ or ‘Dr. Food’, is facing multiple legal challenges in Lebanon. Initially, authorities arrested Deeb in the Akkar region following an in-absentia life sentence related to charges of manufacturing, trafficking, and smuggling narcotics. This investigation began after authorities intercepted food products laced with drugs at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport intended for export to a Gulf country.

Subsequently, Deeb became the subject of a new judicial investigation in Mount Lebanon. An investigating judge issued an arrest warrant following allegations of theft and assault filed by his former wife. The complaint includes accusations of physical abuse and the theft of jewelry, bank cards, and $100,000 in cash, as well as passports from Lebanon, Canada, and Jordan. While Deeb has denied these specific allegations, he remains under judicial scrutiny for both the narcotics case and the new theft and assault claims.
