Mercedes driver George Russell secured victory at the Austrian Grand Prix, starting from pole and maintaining the lead despite pressure from Ferrari's Charles Leclerc. Max Verstappen finished second, with season leader Kimi Antonelli third.

The race marked Russell's second win of the 2026 season, moving him to 131 championship points, two behind Antonelli's 171. Mercedes leads the Constructors' standings with 302 points, ahead of Ferrari (204) and McLaren (159). The season, originally planned for 24 races, saw the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian rounds cancelled due to Middle‑East conflicts, with the finale set for Abu Dhabi in December.
