Georgia and neighbors negotiate electricity transit corridor

Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Bulgaria are negotiating the establishment of a land-based electricity transit corridor. According to Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Inga Pkhaladze, the initiative aims to facilitate electricity supplies to Europe through Georgian territory from neighboring states.

In regional diplomatic developments, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed that the government does not recognize the authorities in South Ossetia or Abkhazia. Meanwhile, leaders from Armenia and Azerbaijan, along with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, issued statements commemorating the anniversary of the Washington summit, noting progress in peace negotiations between the two nations.

In Armenia, concerns regarding the psychological state and ideological foundation of the armed forces have surfaced following a serviceman's death by gunshot. This follows discussions between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Defense Minister Suren Papikyan regarding the organization of military psychological services.
