Georgia first responders rescue kittens trapped in vehicles

Multiple rescue operations in Georgia have resulted in the successful recovery of kittens trapped in vehicle components. In Decatur, firefighters from Decatur Fire & Rescue extracted a kitten named Smokey from a car engine compartment after it had been trapped for approximately two days. Following the rescue, the kitten was taken to DeKalb County Animal Services, where it was quickly adopted.

In a separate incident in Sandy Springs, emergency responders including firefighters and police officers rescued a tiny black kitten weighing just over one pound from a vehicle's suspension. The kitten, which was less than seven weeks old, was adopted by the couple who encountered the animal during a drive.
