Kitten rescue operations

Overview

Various rescue operations have been conducted to save kittens trapped in difficult locations. In Rhodes, authorities including the Police and Coast Guard coordinated a complex effort to extract two kittens from a garbage truck filled with compressed waste. The vehicle was moved to a disposal site where machinery was used to safely open the doors.

In Georgia, emergency responders successfully recovered kittens from vehicle components. In Decatur, firefighters extracted a kitten from a car engine compartment after it had been trapped for two days, while in Sandy Springs, responders rescued a small kitten from a vehicle's suspension.
