Geraldo Leite Rosa Neto interrogation postponed in feminicide case

The interrogation of Lieutenant Colonel Geraldo Leite Rosa Neto has been postponed by the São Paulo State Court (TJSP) to October 5, 2026. The delay follows a request from the defense to include complementary investigative findings and to allow for further questioning of forensic experts regarding technical reports.

Rosa Neto is accused of the feminicide of his wife, Military Police soldier Gisele Alves Santana, who was found dead in her apartment in February. While the defense maintains the death was a suicide, prosecutors have charged the officer with qualified feminicide and procedural fraud, alleging he attempted to simulate a suicide by altering the crime scene.

Forensic evidence has identified inconsistencies in the defense's version, including blood traces on the accused's clothing and indications that he may have bathed after the incident to remove evidence. The Lieutenant Colonel remains in preventive detention at the Romão Gomes Military Prison.
