Gerardo Fernández Noroña confronted by passengers at AICM airport

Senator Gerardo Fernández Noroña was confronted by passengers at Terminal 2 of the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) on Sunday night. The incident occurred as the Morena legislator was returning from the government report of Nayarit Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero.

During the encounter, passengers shouted insults including “corrupt,” “narcopolitician,” and “out with Morena.” Videos of the event show the senator walking toward the exit accompanied by his assistant, Emiliano González, while some individuals filmed the confrontation and demanded he “face the people.”

Following the incident, Fernández Noroña responded on social media, claiming the protesters were repeating “vileities promoted by the media against our movement.” He asserted that if he were truly involved with drug cartels, people would not dare to look at him. He also shared images and social media profiles of the individuals involved, labeling them “fascists.”
