German agricultural producer prices fell 13.9% in June 2026

Agricultural producer prices in Germany fell by 13.9% in June 2026 compared to June 2025, according to data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). This rate matches the decline seen in May 2026, following a 12.3% decrease in April.

On a month-to-month basis, producer prices for agricultural products dropped by 1.7% in June compared to May 2026. Within specific sectors, prices for animals and animal products saw a significant year-on-year decline of 17.8%, while prices for plant products fell by 6.5%.

Key commodity trends include: • Potatoes: Prices were 35.9% lower than the previous year, though they rose 1.9% compared to May 2026. • Fruit: Prices dropped by 17.6% year-on-year, driven largely by a 33.5% decrease in table apple prices, though strawberries rose by 5.6%. • Vegetables: Prices saw a slight year-on-year increase of 0.1%, with significant price hikes for iceberg lettuce (+62.4%), cucumbers (+30.3%), and tomatoes (+29.2%). • Grains and Fodder: Grain prices decreased by 7.7% and fodder plant prices fell by 6.4% compared to June 2025.
