German cities extend public‑transport detours amid summer construction

In Bruchsal, city‑bus lines 182, 183 and 186 are being rerouted until 9 July because a road‑deck installation at the main station requires a full road closure. The temporary diversion keeps buses away from the Europaplatz stop, routing them via Schlossstraße, Luisenstraße and the Central Bus Station.

In Munich, tram lines 16, 17, 18, 27 and 28 (including night services N17 and N27) will not run between Sendlinger Tor and Karlsplatz (Stachus) from 6 July through 31 July while two switches and a track crossing are replaced on Sonnenstraße. Replacement buses are provided along the affected corridor.

Both cities cite hot summer temperatures slowing construction work and have installed additional traffic signals and pedestrian measures to manage the disruptions.
