German communities celebrate major local anniversaries and festivals

Various regional communities in Germany are hosting traditional festivals and significant anniversaries.

In Hövel, the St. Sebastian Schützenbruderschaft 1826 is celebrating its 200th anniversary with a multi-day event including a ceremonial procession, shooting competitions to select a new jubilee king, and musical performances. Similarly, the St. Hubertus Schützenbruderschaft in Thülen is marking 200 years of existence with a festival featuring a mass, a ceremonial parade, and a party to select a new emperor.

Other local celebrations include the Schützenbiwak in Garzweiler, organized by the St. Sebastianus-Schützenbruderschaft, which features a village square gathering, jazz café, and various culinary offerings. In Altfalter, the community celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Bartholomäus-Kirwa at the Schlossbauernhof, featuring live music and traditional food.
