German companies expand industrial footprint in Romania
German companies are expanding their industrial presence in Romania through new energy and service-oriented projects.
Carbo-FORCE has entered the Romanian biomass market through a strategic partnership with Oradea-based Pure Carbon Solution. Supported by the American company CO2-Sync, the initiative aims to utilize pyrolysis technology to convert agricultural and forestry waste into bio-charcoal and renewable energy. The project focuses on producing EBC-certified bio-charcoal and long-term carbon storage to assist in atmospheric carbon removal.
Additionally, the German company CWS Workwear is opening its first industrial laundry facility in Brașov at the Coresi Industrial Platform. The facility will offer a ‘Workwear-as-a-Service’ model, providing professional cleaning, leasing, and repair services for industrial uniforms. The plant is designed to meet German energy efficiency standards, utilizing water recycling and automated dosing systems to reduce resource consumption by up to 50%.
