German Federal Police report weapons violations and arrests at borders
The German Federal Police in Rosenheim reported several incidents during border controls near Kiefersfelden and Oberaudorf on September 28 and 29. Multiple individuals were reported for weapons law violations after being found with prohibited items during vehicle searches.
Detected items included a brass knuckle found in a car, a blank-firing pistol with three cartridges, a spring knife, and a folding knife in a holster. The individuals involved included citizens from Romania, Syria, Slovakia, Poland, and Ukraine.
In a separate incident on the A93 near Kiefersfelden, police apprehended a 49-year-old Austrian driver. The man was found to be driving without a license and was wanted in Germany on two outstanding arrest warrants related to fraud and theft. Due to unpaid judicial fines, the individual was taken into custody for a prison sentence of approximately seven months.
