German Federal Roads B92 and B300 Closed for Summer Repairs
The main access road to Greiz, Bundesstraße 92 (Bruno‑Bergner‑Straße), will be fully closed for four weeks while extensive reconstruction work is carried out between the town’s roundabout and the Zapfwerk.
In Bavaria, the federal highway B300 east of Thannhausen will be completely closed for eight weeks beginning 20 July. The overhaul, split into two sections, includes replacement of the asphalt surface, upgrade of road markings and safety installations, and renewal of the adjacent pedestrian and cycle path. The project costs roughly €2.7 million and will use about 20 000 tonnes of asphalt.
Both closures are part of broader federal efforts to modernise ageing road infrastructure and accommodate increasing traffic volumes.
