German galleries unveil June 2026 exhibitions by Rupprecht Matthies and Beate Ruberg
The Kunstverein Jesteburg will host a solo exhibition for Hamburg‑based artist Rupprecht Matthies beginning 21 June 2026, featuring his first aquarelles and newly created light installations that explore the fluidity of language. The show follows Matthies’s three‑decade career of socially engaged, language‑based artworks displayed in public spaces, schools and hospitals.
In Arnsberg, the Werkstattgalerie Der Bogen opens the exhibition “STÜCKWERK” on 14 June 2026, presenting works by artist Beate Ruberg. Ruberg’s pieces combine discarded papers, textiles and found objects with fragments of her own drawings and photographs, emphasizing the fragmentary and experimental nature of her practice. The exhibition runs until 30 June 2026 as part of the region’s cultural summer programme.
