German gymnastics awards open nominations and youth competition crowns new champion

BTJ awards nomination sustainability prize child protection prize Evelyn Gligor Landesfinale gymnastics

The Berlin Turn and Leisure Sports Federation (BTFB) announced that nominations for the BTJ's Sustainability Prize and Child Protection Prize are open until 31 July 2026, with the awards ceremony scheduled for September 2026. Clubs and individuals active in areas such as education, up‑cycling, sustainable sportswear, transport, cooperation, communication, catering, waste recycling and eco‑friendly facilities can apply.

In a separate event, 12‑year‑old Evelyn Gligor won the Schwäbischer Turnerbund Landesfinale in device gymnastics, scoring 62.50 points to become the state champion in the AK 12 age class. Her performance earned high marks across all four apparatuses, including a 16.0 on the balance beam.
