German Men Embrace Overseas Beauty Treatments, Survey Shows

A recent Kayak survey of German men reveals that 51 % would consider travelling abroad for cosmetic procedures if it saved money, while 14 % have already undergone such treatments overseas. The study also finds that men are slightly more likely than women to seek foreign beauty services (51 % vs. 49 %).

One‑third (33 %) of respondents have never thought about hair transplants, Botox or liposuction abroad, citing language barriers as the main deterrent; ten percent would avoid a country they do not speak. Cost concerns remain, with five percent preferring to pay more in Germany rather than travel. Respondents expressed interest in travel‑related incentives such as treatment discounts, hotel upgrades or bonus airline miles. Turkey emerged as a popular destination for these procedures.

Overall, the findings suggest that “beauty tourism” is losing its taboo status among German men, who view it as a pragmatic way to combine a vacation with cost‑effective cosmetic care.
