German venues showcase diverse art exhibitions in June‑July 2026

The Sprengel Museum in Hannover will host a series of exhibitions and events throughout July 2026, featuring works such as Christian Schad’s 1927/28 pieces, installations by Horst Antes, and thematic programmes on art and nationalism.

In Brandenburg an der Havel, the Wredow‑Woche 2026 will present student artworks from the Wredow‑Kunstschule at five sites between 22 June and 25 June, culminating in a three‑floor year‑end exhibition.

The Stadtbibliothek Göttingen displays "Göttinger Ansichten und mehr", a collection of sketches and watercolours by late painter Wieland Knobloch, open until 3 September 2026.

At the Kunsthaus Seelscheid, an exhibition of landscape painter Günter Merx (1929–2022) runs through 5 July, showing oils, watercolours and drawings of the Sülz, Agger and Naaf regions.

The LohmART art hall in Scheiderhöhe presents Josef Weiß’s "Experimentelle Malerei" from 21 June to 28 June, featuring large‑scale colour compositions created in an intuitive process.

The Weidigschule’s student exhibition "Buch‑Objekte der Freiheit" is on view at the Butzbach city museum until 21 June 2026, highlighting artworks on the theme of freedom.

Additionally, the "Empowering Women Through Art" exhibition, opened on 20 December 2025, collaborates with Women for Women International to showcase diverse artistic expressions addressing gender, resilience and global perspectives.
