German police detain suspects via airport passenger data and border‑control fine payment

The suspect was wanted on a robbery detention warrant; after a court appearance the warrant was executed and he was transferred to a penitentiary.

In a separate incident at the Metzer Straße border crossing in Saarbrücken, federal police stopped a 36‑year‑old French national who had entered on foot from France. A check revealed an outstanding arrest warrant linked to an unpaid traffic‑related fine of €5 126.50.
