German police investigate 15 youths for train vandalism

German Federal Police have launched a criminal investigation into property damage and vandalism involving a group of 15 individuals on a regional express train traveling from Magdeburg to Halle (Saale).

The group, consisting of individuals aged between 15 and 21, was traveling to attend a football match between Greuther Fürth and 1. FC Magdeburg. According to authorities, the suspects caused extensive damage, including graffiti, torn window blinds, and damage to wall and ceiling panels.

Upon arrival at Halle (Saale) main station, police identified the suspects. Officers seized permanent markers and football-related stickers from three of the youths. The group was prohibited from continuing their journey to Erfurt and was escorted back to Magdeburg, where they were issued a 24-hour ban from the Magdeburg main station. Investigations are ongoing.
