German police investigate goat and donkey thefts in Melle and Damshagen

Police in Lower Saxony are investigating the theft of a two‑year‑old Thüringer Waldziegenbock named Fiete from a fenced meadow in Melle‑Kerßenbrock. The animal disappeared between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning and authorities are seeking witnesses who saw a vehicle or suspicious activity near the Schlochterner Weg.

In Mecklenburg‑Vorpommern, a six‑year‑old dwarf donkey named Hörbi was stolen from a protected farm in Damshagen after being last seen on a Friday night. The donkey, identifiable by a chip and distinctive scar, has not been recovered, and police are asking the public for any information about the theft.
