German federal police are investigating multiple incidents of sexual harassment and physical assault occurring on regional trains.
In one incident on June 5, 2026, a 36-year-old man is under investigation for sexually harassing a 21-year-old woman and assaulting a male passenger on a regional train traveling from Uffing am Staffelsee toward Starnberg. The suspect reportedly struck a passenger after being confronted at Weilheim station. Police are currently searching for the male victim of the assault, described as a man aged 25 to 35, approximately 175 to 180 cm tall, with short black hair and a black beard.
In a separate incident on Sunday, September 6, a man is sought for sexually harassing two women, aged 31 and 37, on a regional train (RE5) traveling between Freilassing and Munich.
