German primary schools implement new academic and structural changes
Various primary schools in Germany are marking new academic milestones. At Grundschule Haid, 18 new students began their schooling with a celebratory service and community event involving local faculty and parents.
In Sandhausen, the Theodor-Heuss-Grundschule has transitioned to an all-day school model under the ‘SchulePlus’ initiative. This shift follows the federal Ganztagsförderungsgesetz, which establishes a legal entitlement to all-day care for primary school children. The transition involves managing over 520 students while undergoing structural renovations to accommodate the new educational requirements.
