Austria’s inflation eases to 3.2% in June 2026
Austria’s consumer‑price inflation slowed to an annual 3.2 % in June 2026, down from 3.7 % in May, according to a provisional estimate by Statistik Austria. The moderation was driven primarily by weaker energy price pressure; fuel and heating‑oil price growth fell to 5.4 % from May’s 9.8 %.
Food, tobacco and alcohol prices also eased, rising 1.5 % versus 2.2 % a month earlier, while services remained the main inflation driver at a 4.4 % annual pace. Core inflation was recorded at 3.3 % and the harmonised HICP at 3.1 % year‑on‑year.
Final figures are due on 17 July 2026.
