German real estate transactions projected to rise by 50% in 2026

The German real estate transaction market is experiencing a significant recovery. According to the due diligence platform Drooms, transaction numbers in the first half of 2026 have already reached approximately 75% of the total volume recorded in 2025.

If current trends continue, total transactions for 2026 could increase by 50% compared to 2025. Drooms CEO Alexandre Grellier noted that this represents the strongest upward fluctuation seen since the beginning of the Ukraine crisis. This momentum is also reflected in the broader European market, which could see a 27.24% increase in transactions.

Transaction volumes are also rising. CBRE reported a 13% increase in volume during the first half of the year, totaling nearly 16.2 billion euros, with an average deal size of approximately 20 million euros.
