German Recall of TryMoin Bio-Matcha Powder Over Tebuconazole Contamination

TryMoin GmbH has issued a voluntary recall of its 30‑gram “Try Moin Bio Matcha Pure” powder (batch M‑P‑002, EAN 4262397271654, best‑before 23 Feb 2028) after a routine safety test detected the fungicide tebuconazole. The product was sold in Rossmann drugstores and Globus supermarkets across nine German states – Baden‑Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Hesse, Lower Saxony, Rhineland‑Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony‑Anhalt and Saxony.

Tebuconazole is classified under EU regulation as a Category 2 reproductive toxin and is suspected of being carcinogenic, particularly to the liver, as well as harmful to unborn children. Health authorities have warned that the substance poses an immediate risk to human health, especially for pregnant women and fetuses. Consumers who purchased the affected batch are advised to stop using the tea, return it to the point of sale and obtain a full refund, even without a receipt.
