German regional rail and tram services face June disruptions
From 15 June, Erfurt’s city tram lines 3 and 6 and bus line 90 will run on altered night routes until 18 June while tree‑pruning work is carried out on Andreasstraße. The changes suspend the tram connection between Domplatz Nord and the university hospital, with replacement buses operating between Blumenstraße, the hospital and Rieth.
In North‑West Germany, Deutsche Bahn has closed the upper Ruhr‑Valley line between Fröndenberg and Meschede for bridge reconstruction. All RE 17 and RE 57 services are cancelled from 15 June and will be replaced by buses until an expected completion on 12 July. The suspension affects commuters, students, tourists and cyclists using the Ruhrtalradweg.
Both disruptions are temporary measures to enable maintenance work, with information provided through the respective transport operators’ websites and service points.
