German regional sports bodies invite nominations for volunteer awards

The Bavarian district sports association BLSV-Kreis Nürnberger Land has opened a call for clubs to nominate outstanding volunteers for its "Stille Stars – Nürnberger Land" award. Up to 20 volunteers will be honoured, with nominations due by 20 August 2026 and the ceremony scheduled for 19 October 2026.

The Football and Athletics Association Westfalen (FLVW) is also seeking nominations for its Leichtathletik‑Ehrenamtspreis. Clubs can propose volunteers between 1 August and 30 September 2026, and the selected winners will be recognized at a joint FLVW volunteer day in the SportCentrum Kaiserau.
