Stadtlohn Senior Living Facility Fire Promptly Controlled

On June 25, a smoke alarm was raised from an apartment in a senior‑living complex on Josefstraße in Stadtlohn, Germany. The fire department responded with a full alarm and arrived to find the fire already extinguished, though smoke lingered. The resident had evacuated and was taken over by emergency medical services, while other occupants were also moved to safety and later returned to their apartments.

Approximately 30 firefighters, along with rescue, medical, and police units, entered the scene. A team of breathing‑apparatus crews inspected the flat for any remaining hot spots, ventilated the area, and confirmed the blaze originated in a living‑room. Police have opened an investigation into the cause of the fire.
